Linda Smith Wheeler ~ Obituary

Former Henry County resident Linda Wheeler, 65, of Lemoore, Calif., died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, after a long illness.

She was married in 1971 to Jerry Wheeler, who survives.

Locally, she leaves her mother, Geraldine Smith; two sisters, Fleeta (Gary) Ferguson and Brenda Holcomb; and a brother, Douglas (Ardis) Smith.

A funeral was scheduled Monday in California. Burial arrangements were not announced.

Arrangements were handled by Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel in Lemoore.

Born Sept. 26, 1948, she also is the daughter of the late Elroy F. Smith.

Wheeler graduated from Grove High School and worked at Ellis Heating and Cooling while living in Henry County.

She also is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Wheeler, and a son, James Wheeler, both of California; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
