Jane Vaughn Melloy ~ Obituary

Jane Vaughn Melloy, 65, of Paris died Monday, June 18, 2007, at her residence.

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Brother Leon White will officiate. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is planned after 9 a.m. Thursday.

Born Aug. 31, 1941, in Henry County, she was the daughter of John Thomas Vaughn and Elizabeth Daniel Vaughn, both preceded in death.

She was married on Nov. 1, 1975, to Robert C. “Bob” Melloy Jr., who died Sept. 19, 2003.

Mrs. Melloy was a E. W. Grove High School graduate. She was Senior Underwriter and Vice President with the Bank of Merced in Merced, California. She was a Christian and member of the Moose Lodge and VFW auxiliaries.

She leaves three daughters: Melinda Jane (Howard) Thatcher of Cottage Grove, Sandra D. (John) Holcomb of San Jose, Calif., and Audie E. (Mark) Melloy of Hazel; one brother: Daniel W. (Kathy) Vaughn of Jackson; a sister-in-law: Jera Vaughn of Orange, Calif.; a godson: A. J. Luigs of Paris; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; brother: Daniel W. (Kathy) Vaughn, Jackson, TN. ; sister-in-law: Jera Vaughn, Orange, CA. ; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a brother: John Thomas Vaughn, Jr.
