operator Linda Ruth Grainger Phifer, 65, of Paris died Tuesday, Feb. 1,
2011, at Henry County Medical Center. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Bobby Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow in McRae Chapel Cemetery at Big Sandy. Selected as pallbearers are Matt Goetz, Charlie Lee, Randall Lowe, Jeffery and Michael Barlow and Lonnie Singleton. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday. Born in Paris on June 27, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Dalton Alton and Angie Vertress Watts Grainger. She was married to Bobby Wheeler Phifer, who died May 13, 1991. Phifer was a member of Central Point Baptist Church. She leaves four sisters: Dora Geraldine Lowe, Donna Kay (Matthew Ray) Goetz and Rita Fay Barlow, all of Paris, and Elwanda (Chester) Singleton of Springville; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by a sister: Anna Jean Lee; and a brother: Larry Lee Grainger. |
