A graveside service for Elizabeth Parrish of Paris was conducted at 3:00
p.m. Monday in Hillcrest Memorial Park. A son, Glenn Parrish of Knoxville,
officiated.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
There was no visitation.
Parrish, 90, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at McKenzie Healthcare Center.
Born Feb. 1, 1922, in Paris, she was a daughter of the late Walter and
Nellie Bishop Hurt.
She was married on Sept. 10, 1943, to Herman Edward Parrish, who died Feb.
15, 2005.
She was a member of West Paris Baptist Church.
Survivors are one daughter: Pris (Sam) Lemons of Springville; one other son:
Mark (Tanya) Parrish of Kingston Springs; a daughter-in-law: Lilabeth
(Glenn) Parrish of Knoxville;
One sister: Mary Ruth Perry of Paris; 10 grandchildren: Will (Julie), Ben,
Nick (Erica), Emma, Jonathan, Jacob, Joshua, Julia and Jordan Parrish and
Patrick (Brandi) Lemons; and three great-grandchildren: Mason Parrish and
Elizabeth and Thomas Lemons.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers: Paul, Hugh, Bishop, Gilbert
and David Hurt.
