| A memorial service for retired Mohon
International supervisor Billy Wayne McGarity of Paris will be at 7
p.m. today at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today. McGarity, 73, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Henry County Medical Center. His wife, Marjorie Jones McGarity, survives. They were married on Sept. 21, 1957. Born Aug. 28, 1937, in Morris Chapel, he was a son of the late Stanley Todd and Annie McGarity Lancaster. In addition to working at Mohon, McGarity was a part-time employee with Lewis Bakery in Murfeesboro. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he leaves one daughter: Roxanne Cleaver and friend Jeff Thompson of Paris; two sons: Tony McGarity and friend Becky Shadix and Marty (Michelle) McGarity, both of Paris; one brother: Vernon McGarity of Memphis; and Seven grandchildren: Matt Cleaver, Blake McGarity, Jenna Ann Parker, Jenson McGarity, Isabella McGarity, Tony Wayne McGarity and Brayden McGarity. He also was preceded in death by a son-in-law: John Cleaver; and a sister: Nell Marie McGarity. |
