Virginia Lorene Bruce Luker ~ Obituary

The funeral for Paris native Virginia Lorene Bruce Luker of Memphis was at 1 p.m. Monday at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Street Chapel in Memphis. Burial followed at Memphis Memory Garden in Memphis.

Visitation was Monday.

Virginia Lorene Bruce Luker, 90, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

Born in Paris on Nov. 12, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Roma and Sallie Freeland Bruce.

Her husband of 34 years, Marion Luker, preceded her in death.

She retired from the Defense Depot of Memphis and was a member of First Assembly of God in Memphis.

She leaves two sisters: Helen B. Bryan and Martha A. Lamb; one stepdaughter: Sue Southerland; a stepson: Terry Luker; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a brother: Jimmy Bruce ('52 class), Memphis.
