Billy Tom Davis ~ Obituary

The funeral service for former trucking company
owner and operator and farmer Billy Tom Davis of
Paris will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral
Home.

Kenneth Beal and Brian Wimberley will officiate.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Chosen as pallbearers are Blake and Bobbie Barrett,
Johnny Paschall, Dustin Foust, David Grooms and
Tommy Wimberley.

Jim McCampbell and David Underwood will be honorary
pallbearers.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday and two hours
before the service Saturday.

Davis, 77, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Henry
County Healthcare Center.

His wife, Bobbie Jo Ridgway Davis, survives. They
were married in 1956.

Born June 27, 1936, in Paris, he was the son of the
late Tom and Erin Pillow Davis.

In addition to working in trucking and farming,
Davis formerly worked at Kroger. He was a member of
Oak Hill Union Church, where he was a Methodist. He
was a former member of the Elks Lodge and was a
commissioner for the Henry County Water Works Board.

He also leaves one daughter: Jennifer Davis of
Camden; two sons: Jeffery (Judy) Davis of Paris and
Danny (Tammy) Davis of Leesburg, Va.; one sister:
Irlene Clement of Brownsville;

Two grandchildren: Miranda Barrett of Paris; Adrianne McNutt and friend Dustin Foust of Paris; six
great-grandchildren: Blake, Bradley and Briley
Barrett, Kierra Foust, Rebecca McNutt and Taylor
Warden; two stepgrandchildren: Billy Clayton and Amy
Cooper of Paris; and two great-stepgrandchildren:
Joseph Robertson and Daniel Clayton.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Sheliah
McNutt; and a sister: Sue Gomez.
