I have just finished reading a copy of "Southern Seen" by Larry T. McGehee
('54). Grove alumni who
haven't gotten this book should do so.... It's a collection of his newspaper columns
of the same name --
now carried by 100 papers across the South including the P-I. It is inspiring, memorable
reading for all of
us raised in Paris ... but it's far from being just a book of memories...check it
out .. available from the
University of Tennessee Press .. ISBN 1-57233-3596... $15.95... sorry for the ad but
I'm sure there are a lot of
Grove grads that will appreciate it and are unaware not only of the book but of his column
as well.
